FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are you licensed and insured?

The state of Texas does not offer or require a license for cleaning homes and businesses.  We do however have a 1 million general liability policy and a $5000 bond.  Upon booking a cleaning, we are happy to send more details on this.

  • Does the pro-housekeeper work from a list?

Yes they do!  This list will be left for your inspection upon completion of the cleaning.

  • Do I need to provide any equipment or cleaning supplies?

We provide everything except a toilet brush.  Our maids come prepared with fully sanitized equipment and tools as well as natural cleaning products.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit/debit cards.  Our maids do not accept cash for appointments, however they are happy to accept cash tips.

  • Do I have to sign a contract?

No. We do not offer contracts and you may cancel service at any time.  Our policies will be emailed at time of booking for full transparency.

  • Do I need to prepare for my appointment?

It’s a good idea to lightly pick-up items such as toys, clothing and other belongings from the floors and counter tops. This will make your cleaning more efficient. We also suggest putting away any delicate, sentimental, collectible or high-value items to avoid any risk of damage.

  • How long does a cleaning take?

This is the #1 question we receive!  And it's different for everyone.  Our cleanings typically start at 9am to give our maids enough time to not rush through your cleaning.  The time it takes to clean a full home high depends on the condition of the home, size, and speed of the maid.  If you need a certain time, please let us know.  We are happy to find a solution!

  • My past house cleaner was a lot cheaper? Why?

We are competitive with other larger cleaning companies in the area however occassionally an independent cleaner (someone who is not associated with a company) can charge less because their rates are pure profit for them.

Since 2016, Organically Maid has been a trusted and reliable source for house cleaning referral services here in North Texas.

We pride ourselves in finding the best maid contractors, which is why we have recruiters in the office who's sole job is to screen and hire. Less than 1% that apply for contracting positions are accepted to take cleaning jobs from us.

Once a person has applied with us, here are our recruiting steps:

    • Screen through the initial applications and deny anyone without a resume or has listed many jobs within a short period of time
    • Email an initial set of questions
    • Conduct detailed phone interview
    • Call 2 business references
    • Conduct background check
    • Conduct in person interview at the office
    • Collect personal information including make/model of vehicle, 2 emergency contacts, picture of DL, etc.
    • The new maid contractor then goes through our Natural Cleaning Certification program with a senior maid who has cleaned over 200 homes with us. This process takes 1-2 weeks.
    • At the end of this certification program, the new maid contractor then takes the Infection Control Course.
    • Once all of this is complete, the new maid is now prepared to clean for our clients with random quality checks scheduled. (see why only 1% make it through?)

*Our maids are re-checked every two weeks to ensure a clear background throughout their tensure with us.
